-Rivers, Not Puddles
Reading: John 7:38; Galatians 5:22-23; James 2:14-17
Jesus did not promise a small cup of water or a stagnant pool. He promised rivers -- plural, flowing, outward, and visible. The life of the Spirit in a believer is not meant to pool up quietly inside and go unnoticed. It is meant to flow outward in love, service, witness, and compassion. Moralism produces behavior modification on the outside while the heart remains dry. Regeneration splits the rock open and lets the water pour.
