-The Illusion of Religious Pedigree
Reading: Matthew 3:7-10; Romans 2:28-29
It is a sobering reality that a person can be raised in the church, baptized, and surrounded by Christian heritage and still be far from God.
The religious leaders in John 8 boasted in Abraham as their father, yet Jesus exposed their hearts as unregenerate and hostile to truth. External affiliation never produces internal transformation. God is not impressed by family trees or church attendance records. He looks at the heart.
The question is not what your grandfather believed or what church your name appears on. The question is whether Christ is truly Lord of your life.
Examine your heart honestly today.
