-The Line in the Sand
Reading: John 8:21-24; Ephesians 2:1-5
Devotional: Jesus drew a clear line between those who are from below and those born from above. There is no middle ground, no gray area, no religious achievement that bridges that divide on its own. The sobering reality is that every person, apart from Christ, is dead in trespasses and sins. Dead men do not reach for life preservers. They cannot. This is why the gospel is not a self-improvement program. It is a resurrection. Examine your heart honestly today. Are you resting in religious habit, or have you genuinely been made alive in Christ?

Application: Spend time in honest confession, laying aside any confidence in religious performance.
