-The Thirst That Nothing in This World Can Quench

Reading: Isaiah 55:1-3

In Isaiah 55, God extends an urgent invitation to all who are weary and empty, calling them to come and receive what no amount of money or human effort can purchase.
The Pharisees in John 7 were educated, credentialed, and religiously accomplished, yet they were spiritually parched. They drank deeply from broken cisterns of pride and position.

The same temptation exists today.

Career, approval, pleasure, and comfort all promise satisfaction but deliver only a deeper hunger. Examine what you are drinking from.

Only Christ offers water that truly satisfies at the deepest level of your being.

Reflection: What broken cistern have you been returning to repeatedly, hoping it will finally satisfy you?

Practical Application: Write down one thing you have been relying on for fulfillment outside of Christ. Bring it before God in prayer and ask him to redirect your thirst toward him alone.
