-The Source of True Authority

Reading: John 7:14-17; Deuteronomy 18:18-19

When Jesus taught in the temple courts, the crowd was unsettled not by his cleverness but by the unmistakable weight of divine authority behind his words.

He made clear that his teaching originated not with himself but with the Father who sent him. This challenges a subtle tendency in every human heart: we evaluate truth by its packaging rather than its source. T

he question is never who is speaking, but whether what is spoken aligns with God.

Today, come to Scripture not as a critic examining credentials, but as a servant ready to receive whatever God declares.

Reflection: Are you approaching God's word with genuine openness, or are you filtering it through your own expectations of how truth should arrive?

Application: Before reading Scripture today, pause and ask God to remove any bias that would cause you to resist what he is saying simply because it is uncomfortable or unexpected.
