-Authentic Faith vs. Proximity

Reading: Matthew 13:1-9, 18-23
Judas walked with Jesus, heard every sermon, broke bread with Him, yet his heart was never changed.

Proximity to Christ is not the same as possession of Christ.

You can attend church, know Scripture, even serve in ministry, and still be an outsider to the true life of God.

Authentic faith isn't about attendance or knowledge—it's about a transformed heart that feeds on Christ daily.

The parable of the soils warns that some quickly spring up but wither when teaching gets hard or persecution comes.

Examine your own heart today. Is your Christianity about what you can get from God, or is it about surrendering everything to Him?

True disciples don't leave when things get difficult.
They take up their cross and follow, knowing Jesus alone has the words of eternal life.

Reflection:
Is my faith authentic, or am I merely going through religious motions? Does my life demonstrate genuine dependence on Christ?
