The Hunger That Only Christ Satisfies
Reading: John 6:35-40
Jesus declares, "I am the bread of life."
This isn't mere religious language—it's an exclusive claim to be the only source of spiritual satisfaction.
Consider what you've been feeding your soul.
We live in a world offering endless options to fill the emptiness within: achievement, entertainment, relationships, success.
Yet these are perishable bread, leaving us hungry again.
Jesus promises that those who come to Him will never hunger or thirst spiritually.
This week, examine your spiritual diet honestly.
What are you binging on when stressed or lonely?
The scroll of your phone?
The approval of others?
These provide momentary satisfaction but leave your soul starving.
Christ alone offers permanent satisfaction.
Turn to Him first, not as a last resort.
Reflection Question:
What "perishable bread" have I been consuming instead of feasting on Christ?
