-The Crown Without the Cross

Reading: Matthew 4:1-11; John 6:15
Jesus refused the crowd's attempt to make Him an earthly king because His mission required the cross, not just the crown.
Like the crowd in John 6, we often try to force Jesus into our plans rather than submitting to His agenda.
We want the blessings without the sacrifice, the glory without the suffering.
True discipleship means surrendering our carefully crafted plans and allowing Jesus to be Lord on His terms, not ours.
Today, examine your prayers.
Are you asking Jesus to sign off on your plans, or are you genuinely seeking His will?
Remember, Jesus came to liberate us from sin, not simply to make our earthly lives comfortable.
Surrender your agenda and embrace His purpose.
