The Sabbath was never meant to be a burden but a gift—a weekly invitation to rest in God's provision and delight in His presence.
The religious leaders had transformed this grace into chains of regulation, missing the heart behind the command.
Jesus declares Himself Lord of the Sabbath, revealing that true rest is found in Him, not in rule-keeping.
As you consider your own rhythms of work and rest, ask yourself: Am I resting in Christ's finished work, or am I laboring under self-imposed burdens?
God invites you to cease striving and find your Sabbath peace in Jesus.
Today, identify one area where you've turned grace into legalism, and surrender it to the Lord who gives rest to the weary.
