-The Danger of Knowing About Jesus Without Knowing Jesus
Reading: John 7:25-27
The people of Jerusalem had facts about Jesus but lacked saving faith.
They knew his hometown, his family, his trade. Yet all of that knowledge left them spiritually blind. It is entirely possible to grow up in church, memorize Scripture, and still never surrender to Christ as Lord and Savior.
Head knowledge and heart transformation are not the same thing. Familiarity with religious facts can produce a false confidence that is far more dangerous than outright ignorance.
Examine your own heart today.
Do you know about Jesus, or do you truly know him?
Reflection Question: Is your faith built on genuine trust in Christ, or on familiarity with religious information?
Practical Application: Write down three beliefs you hold about Jesus. Then ask yourself honestly whether those beliefs have produced repentance, surrender, and a changed life.
